Here it is! Finally the completed and final video of the experiment I started a over a week ago.
I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to do in this one when I threw it in After Effects. With the "free time" that I had, I would sit down and play and experiment a little with this video.
First thing I needed to do was stabilize the footage. Out of the best takes I got, I settled on one that I found sexy. But it wasn't sexy enough because of the camera shake from the slider that I had. So within AE I had to use the camera stabilizer which helped the situation. But It didn't completely get rid of the wobble, however I did like the results as I liked a bit of camera shake.
From there I had to composite out logos from the camera rig. This was done using a combination of Photoshop and tracking inside AE.
And after that the rest was done using various tools and magic within AE. As I figured out what I wanted I used a combination of Trapcode particular to simulate the photons going into the camera lens and Trapcode shine for the glow and blowout. The splatter you see on the lens was done using stock ink splatter that I found on the web and mask.
All in all I think it came out pretty good for what it is, which was just a vague idea floating in my head.
Things tend to happen when you just let your imagination run wild.
